• Prof. Alon Ben-Nun MD, PhD., Head of Thoracic Surgery Department, he is MD and PhD graduate from the Medical School, Ben- Gurion University of the Negev. Prof. Ben-Nun has conducted clinical research aimed at improving the quality of treatment of patients with chest trauma and has published numerous articles and monographs in the field of thoracic surgery, esophagus, lung and trachea.
• He is the winner of several prestigious awards in the field of education and research on care for the sick and Laureate of President of Israel for outstanding medical activities. The Department of Thoracic Surgery at the Sheba Medical Center is dedicated to General Thoracic surgery, and is medically separated from cardiac surgery.
