Dr. Esmeral graduated from the University of Costa Rica with a degree in medicine and a specialty in general surgery. He continued his education, completing a fellowship in advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery at the Teknon Clinic in Barcelona, Spain. Dr. Esmeral has experience in bariatric and metabolic surgeries as well as surgeries to treat diabetes.
