In 1996, completed an Internal Medicine residency at the Doctor Arnulfo Arias Madrid Metropolitan Hospital Complex of the Caja delSeguro Social. Later, in the same year, completed a fellowship in Pancreatic diseases and Gastrointestinal Motility at the Department of Gastroenterology of the SalvadorZubirán National Institute of Nutrition in Mexico and a post graduated course in Liver and Alcohol. In 1997 completed an update course in Gastroenterology at the MexicanAssociation of Gastroenterology in Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico.
