Dr Oliver has extensive experience in spinal surgery and neurosurgery, and is renowned for his surgeries at the base of the skull as well as his operations on brain tumours, spinal surgeries and OCD surgery He is a pioneer in the implementation of robotic technology as a minimally invasive technique
Dr. Oliver took up the responsibility to introduce new techniques learnt in Stockholm (Sweden), Montreal (Canada), and San Luis and Pittsburgh (USA). Until April 2012, he was the Director of the Neurosurgery Department at the Mútua de Terrassa University Hospital and Parc Taulí Hospital.

Education
- Dr. Oliver studied Medicine at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He began his specialisation in Neurosurgery in 1977 at the National Neurosurgery Department in Madrid under the supervision of Dr. Sixto Obrador, the internationally renowned neurosurgeon. After completing his Neurosurgery studies in Madrid, Dr. Oliver joined the newly set up Neurosurgery Department at the Sant Pau Hospital of the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
