He is a world renowned specialist in minimally invasive back surgery and artificial disc replacement (ADR) surgery. This technique is used to replace a damaged disc with a new one to preserve the movement of the joint and thus not needing to fuse the operated vertebrae Using this method prevents the degeneration of the adjacent disc and thus prevents possibly having to undergo surgery in the future Also osteotomies are not performed which could destabilize the vertebrae and result in an important amount of blood loss.
